A major public infrastructure operator is preparing the transition to a sustainable, zero-emission fleet. The electrification plan includes electric trucks, but the site is limited by a grid connection of just 110 kW and 160 A, which is insufficient for modern charging infrastructure.
The planned installation was implemented using ten FOX ESS CNI cabinet battery storage systems operating in parallel as one interconnected unit. Thanks to integrated inverters and independent power management, there was no need to install central converters or build a complex transformer station. The total system output reaches 1 MW with a storage capacity of 2 MWh, fully covering the operation of nine standard AC charging stations with eighteen charging points and one DC fast-charging station capable of simultaneously serving two electric vehicles.
A 99 kWp rooftop solar system covers part of the daily consumption and charges the batteries when vehicles are not present. Using locally generated electricity improves operational efficiency and increases energy independence.
The EMS system considers operational schedules, vehicle departures, weather forecasts, and energy market signals. The entire solution is modular and ready for future expansion.
