HOW A PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT WORKS

MORNING

In the morning, or when it is partly cloudy, the photovoltaic power plant (FVE) does not produce enough electricity. The battery discharges, and the missing energy is supplemented from the distribution network.

DURING THE DAY

During the day, or when it is sunny, the FVE produces more energy than you need. The excess is stored in the battery. You don’t need energy from the grid.

EVENING AND NIGHT

In the evening and at night, or when the sun is not shining, the FVE does not produce electricity. The accumulated energy is used to run appliances.

Depleted Battery

When the battery is depleted, energy from the distribution network is used. Part of the battery capacity is reserved for a possible power outage.
