OPERATION OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT
MORNING
In the morning, or when it is partly cloudy, the photovoltaic power plant (PV plant) does not produce enough electricity. The battery is discharged and the missing energy is replenished from the grid.
DURING THE DAY
During the day, or when it is sunny, the PV produces more energy than you use. The excess is accumulated in the battery. You don’t need mains power.
IN THE EVENING AND AT NIGHT
In the evening and at night, or when the sun is not shining, PV does not produce. The stored energy is used to run the appliances.
Low battery
When the battery is discharged, energy from the grid is used. Part of the battery capacity is reserved for possible power failure.
BATTERY STORAGE
