One energy concept.<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nIn the Ko\u0161ice Region, we have completed and commissioned a project comprising three battery storage systems developed simultaneously in Kysak, Barca and Ko\u0161ick\u00e9 Ol\u0161any.<br><br>\r\n\r\nFrom the very beginning, the entire project was designed as one coordinated energy system. The possibility of connecting to the distribution grid, the available power at a specific connection point and the technical conditions of the individual locations all play a crucial role.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThe available capacity of the connection points was one of the reasons why the project was developed across three separate locations. At the same time, the sites are geographically close to each other and were designed from the outset to operate as one coordinated energy system once completed.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThis approach made it possible to use the available infrastructure more efficiently while creating a solution with significantly greater flexibility than three mutually isolated battery installations.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>Technical solution<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nThe project uses Huawei technology with a total capacity of <strong>12.7 MWh<\/strong> and approximately <strong>6 MW<\/strong> of power.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThe solution consists of more than just the battery containers themselves. The complete system also includes the power conversion section, transformer stations, communication infrastructure and control systems that enable the coordinated operation of the individual technological units.<br><br>\r\n\r\nAn important part of the overall solution is the <strong>EMS, Energy Management System<\/strong>, which connects the individual technological components and makes it possible to manage energy flows, optimise the operation of the battery systems and respond to the current requirements of the energy system.<br><br>\r\n\r\nIn large-scale battery projects, control is just as important as the battery capacity itself. A capacity of 12.7 MWh alone does not yet create commercial value. The value is created by the way this capacity is managed and utilised.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>Complexity of implementation<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nThe simultaneous implementation of three battery storage systems placed significantly higher demands on the coordination of construction, technical and logistical activities.<br><br>\r\n\r\nEarthworks, foundation preparation, infrastructure installation, transportation of technological units, connection works and subsequent system integration were carried out simultaneously at the individual sites.<br><br>\r\n\r\nEach location also required its own power evacuation solution, its own infrastructure and coordination with the energy system. The project was therefore not merely a matter of supplying technology, but primarily of precisely managing the interdependencies between the individual stages of implementation.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThe transportation and installation of the battery containers also represented a significant logistical challenge. With these technologies, the weight of individual containers ranges approximately between <strong>30 and 50 tonnes<\/strong>, requiring suitable access roads, handling equipment, crane technology and a precisely planned installation process.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>From technology to an energy asset<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nA modern battery storage system is no longer simply a device used to store electricity.<br><br>\r\n\r\nIt is an asset that, depending on the selected business model, can take advantage of market price differences, support the management of energy flows, provide flexibility and participate in balancing services.<br><br>\r\n\r\nFor this reason, projects of this type require the right combination of technology, proper design, control and subsequent operational optimisation. A battery storage system must be designed from the outset not only to function technically, but also to make long-term sense from both an operational and investment perspective.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>Result<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nThe project in the Ko\u0161ice Region is now <strong>fully completed and operational<\/strong>.<br><br>\r\n\r\nAcross three locations, a shared battery infrastructure has been created with the following key parameters:<br><br>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n    <li><strong>3 locations<\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>12.7 MWh total capacity<\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>approximately 6 MW total power<\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>Huawei technology<\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>coordinated energy concept<\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>control through energy management<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<br>\r\n\r\nThe three separate sites therefore do not represent three isolated projects. They operate as part of a single energy concept designed for the active use of energy storage and flexibility.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>What this project demonstrates to investors<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\nLarge-scale battery projects are not only about the number of MWh.<br><br>\r\n\r\nWhat matters is the availability of grid connection capacity, the correct selection of locations, technical design, logistics, installation quality, safety, system control and the ability to connect all components into one functional whole.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThe project in the Ko\u0161ice Region demonstrates that even extensive battery infrastructure can be developed as a coordinated solution across multiple locations.<br><br>\r\n\r\nFor investors, this means one thing.
